I attended the tax day tea party in downtown Pittsburgh and it was inspiring. Before the first speech, we prayed for our nation, said the Pledge of Allegiance, and sang the National Anthem. The speakers were fantastic and the crowd was polite and enthusiastic. I was truly proud to be in attendance.

Reports vary on how many Americans attended nationwide from 250,000 to over a million. I know some of the newspapers here downplayed the attendance in Market Square to “hundreds”, I can tell you that the lowest estimate from participants I’ve heard was 2,ooo. No matter which tally you personally believe, you can’t deny that something is stirring. I think this was a great way to unite conservatives, constitutionalists, and libertarians. The anger coming from the far left over the tea parties is proof that we have hit a nerve and are a force to be reckoned with. Hopefully, this is only the beginning.
