Sarah Palin shocked many of us with her decision to step down. She says that she felt she was no longer able to be effective in her current role. With the non-stop media pressure, that’s probably true. It would be difficult for anyone to do their job and take care of their family in that climate. There is, however, speculation of an alterior motive. Some believe she stepped down in order to focus on a run for the presidency. I think we all believe that she will run in 2012, but now it will always appear that this ambition was her reason for quitting as governor. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see how this plays out.
