I’m sure most of you have heard by now that there is a massive boycott going on to get Glenn Beck off the air. The movement started a few weeks ago when the radio/TV host called President Obama (in response to his handling of the Henry Louis Gates incident) a “racist.” The group Color of Change began a campaign to convince Beck’s sponsors to pull their ads. They got about 145,000 members to sign an on-line petition. Now it’s our turn. Color of Change has every right to organize this type of peaceful protest, but let’s not allow theirs to be the only voice heard. Even if you don’t always agree with Glenn, this is important. This administration is doing enough to shut down dissent in ways we can’t stop (snitch brigade, attempts to discredit tea party and townhall protesters, etc.), we can’t allow conservatives to be silenced in a campaign we CAN stop. Tell these companies that you will not support anyone who folds to pressure from the Obama propaganda machine so easily. The list of companies included in the boycott continues to grow (although, Color of Change’s claims that Best Buy joined them are false and there is no confirmation on Walmart and CVS either). You’re involvement is absolutely necessary. Below, I have an easy way for you to contact these companies. Just copy and paste the addresses into emails. Please respectfully remind these companies that many of the people who have contacted them in support of the boycott are paid workers of Color of Change and similar organizations, you are not. Remind them that Glenn Beck is one of the most listened to and watched personalities in the media, and it would be unwise to lose such an audience. And finally, tell them that if they boycott Glenn, you will boycott them. Let’s make our numbers known. It will only take a few minutes to copy and paste a message to any company on the list that you are, or will be a customer of.

Although it appears that these companies have joined the boycott, they have not confirmed it. So to be fair, please send them a respectful note asking that they do not join.
Finally, if any of these companies send you an especially interesting response ( I hear CVS has been the most hostile) please forward a copy to me at theaugur1@yahoo.com
Update: An interesting side note, the founder of Color of Change Van Jones is now a top adviser for “green jobs” on the White House Council on Environmental Quality. The current head of Color of Change is James Rucker. One of his earlier campaigns was petitioning democratic candidates to refuse to appear on Fox News before the 2008 election, believing that such appearances would “legitimize” the network. He is a former director of MoveOn.org and is a co-founder of the Secretary of State Project. The SoSP is organization that was founded with the purpose of getting progressive Secretaries of State in office at the state level. They believed that in order to win the 2008 Presidential Election, they needed people who would stop focusing on the “myth” of voter fraud, and would focus primarily on getting as many people as possible to the polls. Community organizer and friend-of-ACORN (funny how they keep popping up) Mark Ritchie was a beneficiary of the SoSP, as well as Jennifer Brunner of Ohio, who famously tried to throw out a million McCain absentee ballots, ruled that people could register and vote on the same day (ignoring the obvious temptation for fraud this policy would cause), and refused to provide the election boards with 200,000 registration forms where the name did not match a driver’s license or Social Security number for further review.
I notice that three insurance companies have pulled their Beck ads.
NO insurance companies have stuck it out.
This suggests to me that Obamacare has frightened the insurance companies right down to their toes. For my part, the wimpiness of the insurance companies frightens me down to at least the ankles.

Sargento, Geico, Ally Bank, Progressive Insurance, State Farm, Men’s W
The three insurance companies referred to in my previous comment are: Geico; Progressive Insurance; and State Farm.
When you look at the other companies that have either benefitted or will be harmed if they go against this administration, GMAC stands out. They benefitted from two bailouts totaling over $12 billion. Acorn and it’s affiliates (over 170) who reside in a funeral home in New Orleans have also gained from the bailout. Many of these organizations have benefitted from stimulus money and some of these organizations are paying for the “Supporters of Obama’s Health Care Reform” at the town hall meetings. All you have to do is search craigslist and you will find many of these organizations soliciting supporters to attend these town hall meetings for up to $15 an hour. So much for grass root support for the Administration!
I will support any company that is against Beck’s ignorant, racist b******t. He and his supporters are worst than terrorist, they are trying to destroy our nation with lies and leading the ignorant down a dark path that will only end in disaster. Anyone who listens to this fool should be considered a traitor.
Typical liberal- you love free speech unless it’s someone else’s. I have a few questions for you (1.) How is he a racist? (2. ) Are you equally outraged by REAL racist comments that are routinely made about black conservatives? (3.) What lies specifically are you talking about? (4.)Were you just as upset when people were writing books and movies fantasizing about the ASSASSINATION of George Bush? (5.) Worse than terrorists? Will lead down a dark path ending in disaster? Come on, Who’s the real fear-monger?
