Now that Van Jones has retired, one thing is clear. You can make a difference. We’ve been frustrated with some of the appointments President Obama has made, and it has felt like there was nothing we could do. But things started to change this summer. People are becoming disenchanted with the White House, and it seems as if we are finally being heard. This latest development should be of great encouragement. Not only did conservatives manage to do a better job of vetting Van Jones than the White House, we managed to get the message out in spite of an often reluctant press. Now, we need to take a closer look at some of the other “czars.” Let’s keep the momentum going. We can’t afford to let up now. If no one else is going to watch these guys, it’s up to us.
